‘iPhone 3G – Satellite Finder on the Move’

For those of you who have never heard of Dishpointer it is an online service that gives direction and angle to satellites nearest your location and plots it all in Google Maps.  The service is free and has a full repository of available satellites.  Now you can fire it up on your iPhone for those times that you need to get your satellite fix on the move.  (You can also fire it up in Google Earth when you get home.)

    It’s a “satellite calculator”!
    How to point a satellite dish and finding a satellite with this?
    Only with “satellite biper” or if you have PC DVB-S card, with “FastSatfinder” + mobile phone/iphone/pda

  3. i was interested in the dish pointer for i iphone as i have one and would find this app useable. under further investigation i found NO dish pointer app through iphone. i also tried satellite finder and nothing came up when i looked at the screen shot of the iphone it looked strange, as if the image was altered……the phone looks far to large in the mans hand. is there an app for this and if so where do you get it? i’m not convinced by the site info!
