Whoa! I don’t have a job for you but there are a lot of organizations in need of qualified personnel. People from all walks of life become aid workers yet only a few stay the course. It is usually those folks that you don’t think will make it that do great and the ones that act like superheroes that don’t get off the plane. Give it a shot and see what happens.
Typically, most folks shop for jobs at:
ReliefWeb Vacancies & AlertNet Jobs
UPDATE: Definitely check out ReliefWeb’s new job map. It is a great way to find a humanitarian job! Here is my post on it.
UPDATE 2: Change.org has a good write-up on ‘Finding a Job Overseas‘.
You can also go straight to an organization’s website and check the job listings. Here are a couple of the larger organizations:
Action Contre la Faim/Action Against Hunger (ACF)
Australian Aid International (AAI)
Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
International Medical Corps (IMC)
International Rescue Committee (IRC)
Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF)
World Vision International (WVI)
Training:
Fritz Insititute – Certification courses in Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain
Check out this promo video for MSF so you know what you are getting yourself into:

Also of interest could be: “So you want to become an aidworker, hey?”, containing background info on ‘becoming an aidworker’.
